Further Quantitative Variable can be divided into two parts:

The variable which we can count is known as the Discrete variable. It includes the natural numbers only. Example: Number of apples, Number of senior citizens in a particular area, etc.

The variable which we can't count is known as Continuous Variable. Example: Height, Weight, etc.
