Why was Korea divided? What happened to Korea once it was divided? Why does the U.S. feel they are the winner of the Korean War?

Answers

Answer 1

Why was Korea Divided?

When the Japanese empire was dismantled at the end of World War Two, Korea fell victim to the Cold War. It was divided into two spheres of influence along the 38th parallel. The Americans controlled south of the line - the Russians installed a communist regime in the north, later ceding influence to China.

What happened to Korea once it was divided?

The North part became North Korea and the South part becamse South Korea. People that was in North Korea at the time of war, or the people that used to live in the South Part of Korea got stuck in the North Korea part, they could only see they're siblings once more in their lifetime.

Why does the U.S. feel they are the winner of the Korean War?

They helped the Koreans fight the war and they were the ones that said, "let's split Korea in half. While very little territory actually changed hands and the war technically froze in a status quo ante bellum (essentially a draw), U.S./U.N. forces managed to successfully defend the Republic of Korea, preserve its status as an independent capitalist state and effectively stem the tide of Communist expansionism not to mention that the modern-day R.O.K. is now a global economic powerhouse with one of the most dominant military forces in Asia as well as the world with extensive political and diplomatic soft power that has global reach (a worthy investment indeed I might add) in addition to having the world's sole political, economic and military superpower as an ally. North Korea, on the other hand, was practically bombed back to the Stone Age and has been reduced to little more than a hopelessly impoverished, completely isolated hermit state that struggles routinely just to feed their own people whilst China failed to accomplish any of its strategic goals despite atrociously horrendous losses (i.e. scoring a decisive victory over U.S./U.N. forces that would force them to withdraw from the Korean Peninsula completely) and is now stuck with a supposed “ally and buffer state” that constantly defies China, makes a point of rejecting Chinese authority and embarrasses China on a steady basis. Fun Fact: official D.P.R.K. history makes a point of completely omitting China's contributions in regards to saving the D.P.R.K. from complete annihilation and outright downplaying China's role in the Korean War to one of an absolute auxiliary lackey that did virtually nothing in the war. Judge for yourself based on the results.

Answer 2

1. Korea was divided because of the war

2. People who were stranded in North Korea were not allowed to go back to South Korea.

3. The U.S. were the ones that decided to split Korea in half.

If Britain, France, and other European nations had not chosen to appease German, Italian, and Japanese aggression then the countries would have went to war against each other. They would also have been a lot of blood shed. Finally, Germany, Italy, and Japan would have slaughtered the other countries' men like it was nothing because they had the better military.

The countries would have gone to war with one another if Britain, France, and other European states had not chosen to tolerate German, Italian, and Japanese aggression. There would have been a lot of blood spilled as well.

What was Japanese aggression?

From 1852 to 1945, Japan's actions were driven by a strong desire to escape the destiny of 19th-century China and to rise to great power status. The Second Sino-Japanese War, as it is known in history, was the origin of World War II for Japan.

Japan chose to attack the American and British forces in Asia and take control of Southeast Asia's resources in response to acute oil and other natural resource shortages as well as its desire to replace the United States as the main Pacific power.

Invading Manchuria in 1931, Japan was looking for raw materials to feed its expanding factories. By 1937, Japan had taken over a sizable portion of China, and atrocities against the Chinese had become routine.

How imperialism, nationalism, and militarism pushed Europe closer to war?

Answer:

Nationalism and imperialism encouraged each European nation to pursue its own interests and compete for power. ... The alliance system pulled one nation after another into the conflict.

Explanation:

Final answer:

Imperialism, nationalism, and militarism played significant roles in the onset of World War I. Imperialism increased international conflicts over territories, nationalism caused internal disputes within empires, and militarism led to an arms race, creating a climate of tension and mistrust across Europe.

Explanation:

In the early 20th century, tensions were escalating in Europe due to imperialism, nationalism, and militarism. These political ideologies and strategies significantly contributed to the onset of World War I.

Imperialism played a crucial role in increasing international conflicts. Nations were rapidly expanding their empires, leading to competition and disagreements over territories. These rivalries were particularly noticeable between Germany, which was keen to increase its power and influence through colonial expansion, and Britain, then the most prominent imperial power. The competition in colonizing overseas territories led to increased mistrust and antagonism between the European powers.

Nationalism was another strong force pushing Europe closer to war. Many ethnic groups in empires such as Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, driven by nationalist sentiments, sought independence. This strained these multi-ethnic empires and led to internal disputes, creating a volatile environment. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Bosnian Serb nationalist exemplifies the threat nationalism posed to political stability.

Militarism, the belief in maintaining a strong military capability to defend or promote national interests, also intensified these tensions. As countries increasingly vied for wider influences, they invested heavily in expanding and modernizing their military forces. The escalating arms race, particularly noticeable between Britain and Germany, created a threatening atmosphere that added to the growing pre-war tensions.

why did muslims not want to be part of an independent india

Answers

Answer:

Because they wanted an independent country only for muslims where all muslims would be treated as equal...

Happy to help

Pls mark as Brainliest.

Answer:

Because they are afraid that Muslims will be persecuted by the Hindus.

Explanation:

Hindus and Muslims never quite understood each other. For Hinduism or Islamists, it is not just religion, they are different ways of life, different visions of the world.

The Hindu religion, which arose in India, revered several different gods unlike the Islamic religion, brought by conquerors, who believed in a single god and had in Muhammad his greatest figure. Not to mention that Hindus lived in an extremely hierarchized caste society, where there was no equality between individuals, contrasting with what was preached by the Mohammedan religion that all men are equal before God.

At the time of India's independence, religious leader Mahatma Gandhi (Hindu) led thousands in a peaceful demonstration against British domination, preaching his dream of a unique and independent country where all ethnicities and religions could live equally.  But the success of the party created by him (Indian National Congress) aroused in Muslims the fear that Hindus, led by Gandhi, would constitute a state ruled by their religion where they were persecuted. In this context, the Muslim League emerged to fight for the division of the region into two states, one of them being Muslims.

Answers

the answer is a) support. the letter says “the united states has the right to lead the world.”

The following word that best characterizes the ambassador's perspective of American foreign policy is distrust. The correct option is c.

What do you understand by distrust?

Distrust is a formal way of not trusting any one party too much in a situation of grave risk or deep doubt. It is commonly expressed in civics as a division or balance of powers, or in politics as means of validating treaty terms. Systems based on distrust simply divide the responsibility so that checks and balances can operate. The phrase trust, but verify refers specifically to distrust.

An electoral system inevitably is based on distrust, but not on mistrust. Parties compete in the system, but they do not compete to subvert the system itself or gain bad faith advantage through it - if they do they are easily caught by the others. Much mistrust does exist between parties, and it is exactly this which motivates putting in place a formal system of distrust.

Diplomatic protocol for instance, which applies between states, relies on such means as formal disapproval which in effect say we do not trust that person.

Hinduism is a complex philosophical system that is characterized by a wide range of interconnected concepts, practices, cosmological frameworks, pilgrimage sites, and textual sources that address a wide range of topics, including theology, metaphysics, mythology, Vedic yajna, yoga, agamic rituals, and temple construction.

Hindu teachings place a strong emphasis on the four Pururthas, also known as the right goals or aims of human existence, or dharma (ethics/duty), artha (prosperity/work), kama (desires/passions), and moksha (liberation/freedom from the passions and the cycle of death and rebirth).
