The tree in Blake’s poem can be interpreted as an allusion to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Bible. Defying God's command, Adam and Eve eat from the tree, and in return, God expels them from the Garden of Eden.
How does this allusion affect the poem's mood?
It fills the poem's mood with hope and joy.
It helps create a mood of sin, guilt, and mystery.
It generates a hushed, deeply religious mood.
It develops a mood of wisdom rooted in experience.
Answer:
It helps create a mood of sin, guilt, and mystery.
Explanation:
The tree in William Blake's poem grew rooted in bad, sinful feelings like the anger the speaker felt about his friend. Although this tree has given fruitful and inviting fruits, we know that these fruits carry the same anger present in the tree and it is this fruit that kills the speaker's friend. This generates in the poem a climate of sin, guilt and mystery.
Type the correct answer in the box. stories tell how Earth was created from a vast expanse of water.
Final answer:
Earth's oceans formed after it cooled from its initial molten state, with water coming from both volcanic outgassing and impacts from comets and asteroids.
Explanation:
After Earth formed about 4.5 to 4.6 billion years ago, it started with a molten surface and without an atmosphere or oceans. As Earth cooled down, volcanoes emitted gases into the air, eventually creating the atmosphere. The early atmosphere consisted primarily of ammonia, methane, water vapor, and carbon dioxide, but with little oxygen. As it became denser, clouds were formed, and it started to rain, leading to the accumulation of water on the planet's surface. Alongside rainwater, comets and asteroids might have also contributed to forming Earth's oceans by bringing water with their impacts. This mixture of internal volcanic activity and extraterrestrial contributions such as comet impacts helped in shaping the Earth's water supply after its initially hot, fiery period.

a. H2SO4
b. H3PO4
c. HNO3
d. HClO4
The strongest acid among the four given is HClO4 (perchloric acid) because it fully dissociates in water, making it a strong acid. The other options do not fully dissociate, thus, they are not as strong.
Explanation:The strength of an acid refers to its ability to lose a proton (H+) in an aqueous solution. This has a lot to do with the acid dissociation constant (Ka), where a higher Ka represents a stronger acid.
The strongest acid among the options given is HClO4 (perchloric acid). This is because it fully dissociates in water (it is a strong acid), meaning it donates all of its protons to water molecules, which is a characteristic of strong acids.

The literary device used in the line from the poem "To One in Paradise" is personification, as the sea is attributed with the human capability of 'holding'.
The line "Such language holds the solemn sea
To the sands upon the shore" from the poem "To One in Paradise" utilizes the literary device of personification. Personification is evident as the sea is given the human attribute of 'holding', suggesting a deliberate and purposeful action that the sea is taking towards the sands. There is no explicit comparison using 'like' or 'as', which would indicate a simile, nor is there a direct statement of equivalence that would suggest a metaphor. Therefore, the answer to the question is option (3) personification.

Professor Hall agrees with Dr-Clark's claims on the importance of the body to be hydrated. The human body is 85% water and needs to hydrated most of the time. The problem is that most humans just drink water when they are thirsty, and they drink soda pop, beer or other liquids. The human body needs freshwater or natural fruit water. No add flavor. Being thirsty or not, the body needs to maintain proper hydration to prevent many health issues.
