Final answer:
Members of the upper social classes are typically engaged in exclusive sports at venues like country clubs or gated communities, indicative of a lifestyle marked by luxury and comfort, as opposed to the middle and lower classes who may partake in more accessible forms of recreational activities.
Explanation:
Members of the upper social classes tend to engage in exclusive sports more frequently than members of the lower classes. These sports often take place at country clubs and gated communities, settings that are tailored for luxury, safety, and comfort. The access to such exclusive activities is a reflection of their economic capability to afford a lifestyle that includes leisure activities that are often expensive and refined.
While people from all social classes can share similar interests, traditionally, the upper class has been associated with activities that are considered to indicate a highly cultivated taste, such as luxury vacations, high-end fund-raisers, and sports that require substantial resources for participation and enjoyment. This is in contrast with stereotypes of the middle and lower classes, who might prefer activities such as camping, fishing, hunting, or attending sporting events as spectators rather than as active participants in more exclusive sports. These activities are more accessible and typically require less financial investment.
Overall, while class distinctions can be stereotypical and have begun to blur in recent decades, certain leisure activities, including sports, still display a marked distinction based on class lines.

Identify how conflict theory is similar to talcott parsons's structural functionalism in terms of the way they explain gender roles.
Both of the theories one to charge of relying too much on unchanging distinction and both explain gender roles in economic terms.
Conflict theory was presented by Karl Marx when he explained that society is in a constant conflict and social order can only be maintained by power and authority rather than consensus.
Conflict theory and structural functionalism both view gender roles as integral to society’s functioning, but from different points of view. Structural functionalism sees them as necessary to maintain societal functions, while conflict theory sees them as a result of ongoing conflict and power struggle.
Explanation:Both conflict theory and Talcott Parsons's structural functionalism serve as frameworks for understanding how society functions, but they approach the subject from distinct perspectives. Gender roles can be explained from both perspectives. Structural functionalism, developed prominently by Talcott Parsons, argues that each aspect of society serves a function and these collectively contribute to societal stability and order. In this theory, gender roles are seen as necessary to maintain these functions.
On the other hand, conflict theory suggests that society is driven by conflict and inequality among different groups, including that between genders. In this view, gender roles emerge from the ongoing conflict and power struggle between genders rather than functional necessity. However, the underlying similarity between the two theories in their explanation of gender roles lies in that they both view gender roles as integral to society’s functioning, albeit from different angles.

The body can no longer keep up with the demands of the stressor in the ________ stage of the general adaptation syndrome.
The answer is exhaustion. The body can no longer keep up with the demands of the stressor in the exhaustion stage of the general adaptation syndrome.
EXPLANATION:
General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) is a three-stage response from the body when it is faced with stress. GAS is very vital because knowing the three stages of it will help the human body limit the effects of stress on it. Hans Selye was the first person who explored the idea of General Adaptation Syndrome. He conducted research on rats where rats displayed the same set of physical responses to several different stressors.
Here are the three stages of General Adaptation Syndrome:
Alarm reaction
This is the first stage of GAS. A distress signal is sent to the hypothalamus which is a part of the brain, in the alarm reaction stage. The hypothalamus then releases the hormones called glucocorticoids which trigger the release of cortisol and adrenaline. These two hormones are stress hormones. When people in the alarm reaction the heart rate will increase, the blood pressure will rise, and the blood sugar will go up.
Resistance
This is the second stage of GAS. In this stage, the body tries to fight the physiological changes that happen in the alarm reaction. The counteract reaction is governed by the parasympathetic which is part of the ANS. In this stage, the parasympathetic will try to return the body to the normal by lowering the cortisol level in the body. If the stressor reduces, the body will get back to normal. Yet, if the stressor remains, the body will keep in the alerts state and stress will be produced continuously.
Exhaustion
This is the third and the last stage of GAS. In this stage, the body can no longer keep up with the demands of the stressor. Thus, people who have reached this stage of GAS will experience anxiety, depression, tiredness, and feeling unable to cope. If people who are in this stage cannot find ways to manage the stress, they will deal with a more serious condition of mental health.
