So think of something eternal, infinite, and something without an end.

The things I thought of was numbers, love (maybe), and imagination.
You can compare the universe to them without using like or as. Because if you do, those are similes. Good luck!
Answer 2
Your heart is bigger than the universe

The universe is like a rubber band, you don't know if it will snap and it expands

And I don't have the other one but I hoped this helped you!

Answers

number 1 is the best answer

Option 3, 'Swept the floor first, then washed the dishes,' is the best example of a sentence fragment because it lacks a subject and does not express a complete thought on its own.

The best example of a sentence fragment among the provided options is number 3: 'Swept the floor first, then washed the dishes'. This group of words is missing a subject who is performing the actions, and though it contains verbs ('Swept' and 'washed'), it does not communicate a complete thought.

A sentence fragment is punctuated as if it were a complete sentence but lacks a main clause with a clear subject and predicate that expresses a complete thought. You can often fix a sentence fragment by adding the missing elements. For example, sentence 3 could be revised to 'He swept the floor first, then washed the dishes,' turning the fragment into a full sentence.

Why is "good vs. evil" a universal theme?

Answers

The reason why "good vs. evil" is a universal theme is because there are always two forces at work one for good and one for evil and for every good/evil thing there is an evil/good thing that will go up against each other until the end of time or at least until one of them is defeated, but then another good/evil thing will appear to take it place.
Example 1:
Your in high school and there is a bully and you try to stop the bully from hurting others. This makes you the good force and the bully the evil force (he/she doesn't have to be "evil" per-say just bad or mean will do).

The theme of 'good vs. evil' is universal due to its representation of the core moral challenges that resonate with human experiences and choices, often illustrated through characters and quests in stories and fables that probe our understanding of morality.

The “good vs. evil” motif is a universal theme because it embodies the fundamental moral struggle that is central to the human condition. This dichotomy plays out in stories worldwide with characters that are obviously good or evil, and sometimes neutral characters that represent the complexity of human morality. In many tales, the hero embarks on a quest, encountering various cultures and people – the Other – who have different beliefs and behaviors. The interaction with the Other can test the hero's moral compass and often highlights the relativity of good and evil. Throughout history, societies retell fables that incorporate this struggle, affirming shared values and passing on traditions.

Philosophers have debated whether good and evil are absolute terms or human constructs. Some view them as concrete realities with intrinsic power and danger, while others, like Leibniz, argue that they are humanly defined concepts that frame the perception of morality in the context of religion and the divine. However, whether viewed as independent forces or as part of a higher deity's plan, the struggle between good and evil continues to resonate because it reflects the challenges and choices every person faces.

Macbeth's murder of Banquo
The appearance of Banquo's ghost at Macbeth's coronation dinner

Answers

#1) Form your ideas into a paragraph of at least five sentences. Make sure to include supporting evidence from the play.

Answer: I believe that the most important event from the play is the weird sisters predictions in the beginning of the play. The main reason being that this is what triggered the conflict and the ambition to be the King. In other words it was the beginning of his demise. If this event had not happened then the story would have played out in a completely different path.

I hope it helps, Regards.

Choose an event from the play:

The weird sisters' predictions for Macbeth and Banquo

Focus on the purpose it serves in the story:

The encounter of the witches with Macbeth is what kindles the conflict  of the story. The fact that the weird sisters greet Macbeth as a king, sets in motion his desire to do whatever it takes to become the king. Apart from that, the prophecy about Banquo (his sons will be kings) will influence Mabeth's plans to try to murder him and his son. Therefore, the porpose of this event is to set in motion the main conflict of the story.

Consider how the story would change if that event was altered. Form your ideas into a paragraph of at least five sentences. Make sure to include supporting evidence from the play.

If the three weird sisters wouldn't have given any prophecy to  Macbeth and Banquo, they would still be soldiers fighting for King Duncan until he dies, after that, maybe Macbeth could have been chosen as the king, since he was respected by the people of Scotland. In the second scene of Act 1, he is introduced as a very honorable soldier, if not the saviour of Scotland: "But all's  too weak, for brave Macbeth -well he deserves that name-" (Act 1, Scene 2, Line 16). If Macbeth would have let things happen on its own, maybe he could have become the king without murdering the king himself.

Which sentence in this excerpt from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “Four Freedoms” speech suggests that the US government would gain more power to prepare for war?

The Congress, of course, must rightly keep itself informed at all times of the progress of the program. However, there is certain information, as the Congress itself will readily recognize, which, in the interests of our own security and those of the nations that we are supporting, must of needs be kept in confidence.

New circumstances are constantly begetting new needs for our safety. I shall ask this Congress for greatly increased new appropriations and authorizations to carry on what we have begun.

I also ask this Congress for authority and for funds sufficient to manufacture additional munitions and war supplies of many kinds, to be turned over to those nations which are now in actual war with aggressor nations.

Our most useful and immediate role is to act as an arsenal for them as well as for ourselves. They do not need man power, but they do need billions of dollars worth of the weapons of defense.

The time is near when they will not be able to pay for them all in ready cash. We cannot, and we will not, tell them that they must surrender, merely because of present inability to pay for the weapons which we know they must have.

I do not recommend that we make them a loan of dollars with which to pay for these weapons—a loan to be repaid in dollars.

Define “divine intervention” and provide examples from the book illustrating ways that Athena assisted the main characters in their plights by divinely intervening.

Answers

Divine intervention is when the gods do something 'against the rules' to help someone. I'm not sure what book you're talking about but a regular example would be if someone prayed while someone else was banging on the doors and the doors magically turned to stone

Divine intervention refers to instances in which a God interferes in a mortal's life in order to bring him some benefit. The idea of divine intervention carries a connotation of not being allowed according to divine rules.

In The Odyssey, there are many examples of Athena interfering with the characters in order to help them. Athena helps Odysseus during the shipwreck in Book 5 and in the battle of Book 22. She also intervenes by  sending Telemachus to Pylos and Sparta, and by appearing to Penelope in dreams.

Suppose a novel contains a chapter with many descriptions of friendly, lively teenagers. Choose the statement below that reflects what opinion the author is trying to reveal best.

Teenagers are an enjoyable and necessary part of our society.
Teenagers need to get jobs before they leave high school.
When teenagers gather in large groups, it is important to leave them alone.
School is where teenagers should find success and acceptance.

Answers

i think it is A. Teenagers are an enjoyable and necessary part of our society.

The first alternative is correct (A).

By elimination, the other alternatives do not relate to the author's sentence. The author talks about a chapter with friendly and lively teens. This has nothing to do with the issue of employment for young people, nor does it suggest that they should be alone, nor does it refer to schools at all. However, the pleasant perspective of the adolescents narrated by the author better fits in the conception that adolescents are a pleasant part of the society.

Determine the nature of this statement. the author makes the reader feel the discomfort of the dirty, drab, noisy steel mill where the story takes place. fact opinion

Answers

Answer:

Opinion

Explanation:

The author may attempt to spark these feelings, but the story will not present itself in the same way this individual feels.  Whereas this individual can supposedly "feel" the mill's discomfort, another person may strike this up to vivid language.

Therefore, this is an opinion.

Final answer:

The statement nature is an opinion that aims to evoke specific emotions from the readers by criticizing industrialization and capitalism.

Explanation:

The nature of the statement is an opinion. The author's portrayal of the dirty, drab, noisy steel mill in the story is subjective and aimed at evoking a specific emotional response from the reader.

Through vivid descriptions of the industrial setting and its impact on both the environment and workers, the author expresses a critical viewpoint on industrialization and capitalism.

The narrator challenges readers to immerse themselves in the harsh realities depicted in the novella, emphasizing the importance of understanding the environmental and social issues at hand.

Read the excerpt from "The Yellow Wallpaper." He said that after the wall-paper was changed it would be the heavy bedstead, and then the barred windows, and then that gate at the head of the stairs, and so on. “You know the place is doing you good,” he said, “and really, dear, I don’t care to renovate the house just for a three months’ rental.” Based on this excerpt, which statement best describes John’s viewpoint of the wallpaper?
A. He believes that the wallpaper should be replaced.
B. He believes that the wallpaper is unattractive.
C. He believes that his wife is overreacting to the wallpaper.
D. He believes that his wife likes the wallpaper.

Answers

The answer is:

C. He believes that his wife is overreacting to the wallpaper.

The importances of the exceprt relies on this words "I don’t care to renovate the house just for a three months’ rental.”a

In that sentence the character lets you know that everything that they consider ugly or not suitable from the house is irrelevant giventhe fact that in three months they will be leaving the house, and by that he states that his wife is over reacting to something that they only have to deal with for a few months.

Based on the excerpt from The Yellow Wallpaper, the best statement describing John's viewpoint of the wallpaper is option C: He believes that his wife is overreacting to the wallpaper. Thus, option C is correct.

This is evident from John’s remark about how changing the wallpaper would lead to an endless series of modifications like the heavy bedstead and the barred windows.

Additionally, he dismisses his wife's concerns by stating that nothing is worse for a 'nervous patient' than to give in to such 'fancies,' indicating he thinks her reactions are exaggerated and unfounded.
